If I Can Not Dance,

I Will Not Be a Part of Your Revolution

In her new large-scale choreographic work, Maria Koliopoulou brings together 13 female performers of different ages and abilities with and without disabilities.

The title, borrowed from Emma Goldman, set the stage for a celebration of female identity and collective support. The process was a journey of empowerment, creating a safe environment where each femininity could unfold her presence.

The rustling of words and the creation of shared images allowed for a collective landscape of solidarity to emerge, where the unfamiliar becomes familiar through a common artistic search. The work emphasized the strength of a community in its ability to support individual unfolding within a collective journey.
